Midway Entertainment

You’d think that August in a small town in Vermont would be all swimming, fishing and picnicking, wouldn’t you? But not in Carding.

That’s because summer ends in a crescendo of music, food, crafts, carnival rides, and fun known as the Carding Fair.

It’s the biggest event on the town calendar and its success takes A LOT of volunteer time.

It’s up to the town’s police chief, Charlotte Davenport, to oversee the delivery and pickup of the big trucks that carry the carnival rides to the town green.

Things have hit a snag, and you’ll be right there to watch it happen in tomorrow’s Carding Chronicle called “Midway Entertainment.” Here’s a sample of what’s to come.
