We’re in the last stretch before Carding-ites finally vote in their town election. There are two candidates whose names are printed on the paper ballot, insurance agent and incumbent Eugene Becker, and G.G. Dieppe who lives with her husband in a house on the seventh hole of the Mount Merino golf course.

G.G. looked like a shoe-in until a write-in campaign got underway.

Now the outcome is uncertain.
