I have been a professional writer since 1987. I've written for newspapers, magazines, worked in the book publishing industry, and published novels and non-fiction books. In addition, I've guided numerous authors through the process of independent publishing, and offer workshops in that same vein. I'm the founder of the Parkinson's Comfort Project and over the course of six years, we gathered and gave away over 500 handmade quilts to people with Parkinson's disease.

Aliens Invade Grafton Pond

The latest issue of Upper Valley Life is on the newsstands now and I have an article in it on “Serene Kayaking,” the kind Jay and I like to do.

Our favorite spot in the Upper Valley is Grafton Pond, a manmade body of water that straddles the Enfield/Grafton town line. We were there on Saturday morning, July 4, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The air and water were so still and we had a thick overcast so the reflections on the water were perfect.

This is a bleached stump sticking out of the water and its reflection. Looks alien when you turn it, doesn’t it?
