Tiny Curiosities: Winter Arrives

To me, winter is the making time of year. And though the days seem long to some, to me they are over all too soon.

The sensation is akin to what I used to feel at the beginning of summer when I was young. So many wondrous days stretching out before me and I always had lots of plans.

Nowadays, I don’t plan out specific projects so much as slow down a bit to savor all of the moments I spend in my studio writing, sewing, and making art.

And reading. Don’t forget reading.

As much as I love my gardens and the brilliance of the natural world when sunshine is more plentiful, I am glad my garden shed is packed up for the season so I can turn my attention to the other parts of my life that I love.

Whatever you do with your winter time, I wish you the joy of it.

See you in the New Year.
